With some recent new appointments to the full-time staff, along with a new Coaching Officer elected to the County Board Executive, meet the full Cork GAA Coaching & Games Development team!

Kevin O'Donovan - Coaching Officer
Kevin is the newly elected Coaching Officer having served as a GDA for the past 5 years in the Carbery - Beara Region. Kevin most recently took over the administration of the County Talent Academies (2013-2014) and will take on the role of Academies Coordinator in his new role as Coaching Officer. Kevin is still playing with his club Kilmeen and Kilbree. He has acted as Secretary to the County Underage Gradings Committee for the past 2 years.

Kevin O'Callaghan - Games Manager
From Kilshannig Club, Kevin started working with the GAA as a coach in Imokilly in 2006. He moved to employment with Cork County Board in 2007 working as a GDA before landing the role of Games Manager in 2009.
As Games Manager, O Callaghan is responsible for the role out of National GAA Projects as well as local development initiatives. He oversees the full time GDA's and liaises with the Coaching Officer and the Senior Administer in policy in the area of Coaching & Games Development. Kevin also sits on the Coiste Na nOg Board and is a member of the County Fixtures Overseeing Committee.

The Games Development Administrators are assigned Regions/Divisions and are responsible for the development of Primary School, Post Primary School, Club and Coach Education Initiatives within these areas.

Pat Spratt GDA North Region 
Pat filled in for Martin Coleman in the Carrigdhoun/Muskerry Divisions in November and December 2013. He then moved to the North Region (Avondhu/Duhallow) at the start of 2014 where his work gained widespread acclaim.
Pat became a full time GDA in November 2014 where he now continues in his role as GDA for the North Region but with broader responsibilities for all activity in the North Region.
A member of Buttevant GAA Club, Pat has a huge range of coaching experience built up over the past 15 years when training teams in Buttevant at all levels and also working with teams in C.I.T., Glanworth, Eire Og and Avondhu (juvenile/adult).

Sean Crowley GDA Imokilly & Head of Coach Education 
A member of Killeagh GAA Club, Sean worked as a GPO in Dublin for over 5 years before transferring to Cork in 2013. Sean heads up our Coach Education Programme and has a wealth of coaching experience having been involved with his own club senior team in 2014 while previously working with Oulart the Ballagh and various Dublin underage teams.

Colm Crowley GDA Cork City 
Colm is also a member of Killeagh GAA Club and also worked in Dublin as a GPO for 6 years prior to his transfer to Cork in December 2013. Colm has a huge role in Cork City and is working hard to ensure that GAA is at the forefront of childrens/youths hearts and minds going in to 2015.

Paudie O'Brien​ GDA Carrigdhoun 
Paudie comes from the Midleton GAA Club and commenced work as a GDA in Cork in 2009. His initial brief was Cork City. He then moved to cover Carrigdhoun and Muskerry before settling in the Carrigdhoun Division.
Paudie spearheads the Mid West Hurling Regional Squads and assist Aine Murray with the Carrigdhoun/Muskerry Regional Football Panels.

Áine Murray GDA Muskerry 
Áine is the newest recruit to our GDA team having just taken up her role in November 2014.
Áine plays hurling and football with Blackrock and St. Michael's respectively and graduated from Leeds University with a Masters in Sport and Exercise Biomechanics having previously qualified as a P.E. teacher in U.L.
Áine will look after the Muskerry Division including the Carrigdhoun/Muskerry Football Regional Panels and will assist Paudie O Brien and James McCarthy with the Mid West Regional Hurling Squads.

James McCarthy GDA West Region 
James most recent achievement was guiding his native Castlehaven to a Senior Football County title in 2012.
He has worked as a part time assistant to former GDA Kevin O Donovan in the West Region in 2013 & 2014.
He got a full time contract as a GDA in November 2014 and he has hit the ground running in this role.
James has coached at all levels in his club and has worked with multiple development squad panels in the past 5 years. He is a qualified tutor at Foundation/Award One level and as a Code of Best Practice Tutor.

Noel Crowley Cul Camp Coordinator & GPO East Avondhu 
​Noel is involved in a development role with Cork County Board for over 15 years.
He is the Cúl Camp County Coordinator in Cork and has responsibility for clubs in the East Avondhu area as well as Co-ordinating the North Region Hurling Squads along with Pat Spratt.
Noel has coached at all levels of the game and is recognised as an astute reader of players and the game in both hurling and football.
