Bumper Weekend for Coaching & Games/Rebel Og Academy! 2014-05-30 15:25:00

This Saturday (31st May) will be an extra busy day for Cork Coaching & Games.

Kicking off the activity will be the Monster Blitzes with the U10 hurlers in action across the county.
Furthermore, Cork will have 19 clubs out in Super 10's football and a further 18 clubs out in Super 10's hurling.
The Super 10's is a competition for U15 club teams throughout the Province.
Clubs are permitted a panel of 12 players and play 10 a side on a pitch 21 to 21 yard lines.
This Saturday, clubs are put in groups of 4 for a blitz format competition.
The winners advance to play in the finals on June 14th in Mallow.
Every player that takes part gets a specially commissioned training shirt from Munster Coaching & Games.
It provides players with an opportunity to pit their wits against clubs from other counties in a very novel, fast and enjoyable game that can demand a variety of different skill sets than the regular 15 a side activity.

The U10 hurling Monster Blitz Programme will be rolled out in
Ballyhea (10 teams)
Kildorrery (10 teams)
Killeagh (14 teams)
Enniskeane (16 teams)
St. Finbarr's (13 teams)
Ballinhassig (12 teams)

The main theme for this weekend is the high catch.

A football blitz will also take place in Adrigole for U10s with 6 teams taking part there.

Over the course of this weekend Cork Coaching & Games will see 445 teenagers take part in small sided competitive games while at U10 level over 700 boys will be playing around the county.

With the weather expected to stay favourable, it promises to be a wonderful weekend of GAA activity for the players and clubs involved.
