Seachtain na Gaeilge: Is Tusa Croí na Teanga 2014-03-04 12:36:00

Seachtain na Gaeilge 2014 – CLCG Coiste Chontae Chorcaí

Is féile idirnáisiúnta Gaelach í Seachtain na Gaeilge agus tá sí ar cheann de na féilte is mó dár dteanga dúchais agus dár gcultúr dúchais gach bliain in Éirinn agus in a lán tíortha eile.  Leanann an fhéile ar aghaidh go dtí Lá 'le Pádraig, 17ú Márta.

Tugann an fhéile deis do gach éinne sult a bhaint as an nGaeilge, is cuma cainteoir líofa, foghlaimeoir, nó duine le cúpla focal tú. Tá sraith ocáidí siamsa agus craic le haghaidh gach réimse spéise agus aoise.

Eagraíonn grúpaí éagsúla, idir dheonach, phobail, spóirt agus chultúir ócáidí le haghaidh Seachtain na Gaeilge ina gceantair féin.

Ba mhór againne é dá n-eagródh Oifigigh Chultúir gach club, ócáid le ceol, scéalaiocht, amhráin, rince agus ciorcail chomhrá sa chlub.  Ní gá ócáid ar leith ach b'fhéidir tionscnamh ina mbeadh baill an chumainn páirteach ann, mar 'Lá na Gaeilge' sa chlub, nó gníomhartha a bhíonn as Béarla de ghnáth, a bheith as Gaeilge i rith Seachtain na Gaeilge. Mar shampla, Oíche Chártaí , Siúlóid Stairiúil srl.  Ba chóir nathnna cainte as Gaeilge a sholáthair dóibh siúd a bheidh páirteach ann agus b'fhéidir aoi speisialta a bheith i bhfeighil cúrsaí mura bhfuil Gaeilge ag an té a bhíonn i bhfeighil cúrsaí de ghnáth. Is le haghaidh cách an Ghaeilge agus tá Seachtain na Gaeilge le haghaidh cách.

Is Tusa Croí na Teanga

Ba mhór againne é dá gcabhródh Oifigigh Chultúir / Ghaeilge le cur chun cinn Seachtain na Gaeilge.

Seachtain na Gaeilge (Irish Language Week) is an international Irish language festival and one of the biggest celebrations of our native language and culture that takes place each year in Ireland and in many other countries.  The Festival runs until March 17th.

The festival gives an opportunity to everyone to enjoy Irish, whether you are a fluent speaker, learner or have a cúpla focal, with a calendar of entertaining and fun events for every type of interest and every age group.

Many Voluntary and community groups, and sports and culture groups, organise events for Seachtain na Gaeilge in their local area.

It would be appreciated if the Cultural Officers in each GAA Club would organise an event of music, story, song or dance, Coirceal Chomhrá in the Club. Of course it doesn't have to be an "event" but can be a project that club members can take part in, e.g. Irish Day in the Club, or any little events that usually run in English but could be run through Irish during Seachtain na Gaeilge? e.g.  Cards Night, Historical Walk – you can provide a list of Irish phrases for the participants and maybe organise a special guest to jointly run the event if the person who usually runs it doesn't have Irish

Irish is for everyone, Seachtain na Gaeilge is for everyone – Croí na Teanga, It's You.

It would be appreciated if the Cultural/Irish Officers assist in promoting Seachtain na Gaeilge.
