Club Chairperson & Secretary Information Night

An Information Night, specifically for Club & Divisional Chairpersons & Secretaries, will take place on Wednesday March 21st 2012 in The Silver Springs Hotel, Cork from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.

The night will include presentation, workshops and an independently facilitated open discussion.

General Format:-

Welcome (Addresses by Cathaoirleach & Rúnaí Choiste Chontae)

General Presentation

Presentation on Officer Roles

  • Role of the Club Chairman (to include discussion on games development, club structures, planning ahead, effective meetings etc.)
  • Role of the Club Secretary (to include discussion on communication, club planning, club administration and membership)

General Information on Current GAA Programmes:
  • GAA Insurance and GAA Injury Scheme
  • Club Strategic Planning
  • Registrations
  • Use of GAA E-mail & Club Websites
  • Development Grants
  • ASAP Programme

Workshops

Independently facilitated open discussion on the day-to-day issues encountered by Club Officers.
