Both clubs are seeking their 3rd title in this championship having been beaten in 2 of their 4 previous finals that they contested.
Mallow previous final appearances were 1924, 1989, 1992, 2007, with success in 1992, 1959, while St Michael's final appearance were 1969, 1998, 2012 & 2015 with success in 1969 & 1998.

Billy Long Cup - Premier Intermediate Football Championship

Billy Long was involved with Lees in the 1940s and 50s. He was a selector with the Cork Senior Football team in 1956 and was a member of the County Board Executive. He died a young man and his family donated the cup in his memory.
