Biography

From Cloyne, Paudie works as an electrician. He first played hurling in his front garden with his father Jerry, current County Board Chairman, and the best advice he was ever given was “Don't practice until you get something right, practice until you can't get it wrong”. His favourite sport other than hurling is soccer, and he is a dedicated Liverpool fan - however, as a child he wanted to be the Red Power Ranger! His favourite hurling memory is winning the Harty Cup with Midleton CBS, and if there was a transfer market in hurling, he would buy JJ Delaney. He considers Sky+ to be the best invention ever, and the person he would most like to meet is Muhammed Ali.
