Brian hails from the Bride Rovers club based in Rathcormac, and first played hurling at home with his family. He believes that first touch is the most important skill in hurling, and if he could change anything about the game, would like to see shorter matches which would require less physical training. His favourite sports other than hurling are soccer and American football, and as a child wanted to play for Celtic. He also enjoys surfing. Brian's best hurling memory outside of playing is Cork's All-Ireland win in 1999, while as a player, the highlight so far has been winning a County title with his club in 2003. He considers Brian Corcoran to be the best player he has ever seen, and if there was a transfer market, he would buy Henry Shefflin. In ten years' time, he hope to be healthy, happy and rich.
