Luke Connolly is October winner of the 96FM/C103 GAA Sports Star award

Nemo Rangers 20th County senior title was won in spectacular style after 2 brilliant games against their great city rivals St Finbarrs.

In both matches they had many stars but none more so then ace forward Luke Connolly, indeed throughout the c’ship campaign Luke’s form was excellent.

In acknowledgement of this he was presented with the 96FM/C103 GAA Sports Star of the month award for October in association with the Rochestown Park Hotel.

In accepting the award Luke said ‘it is particularly pleasing to be picked in a month when so many players stood up to the plate with their clubs and also the fact that the final was played in the Pairc Ui Chaoimh, and I am here because of my team mates and management team who were brilliant all year.”

County Board Chairman Ger Lane, in congratulating Luke, said “your form has been brilliant all year with both Cork and Nemo and hopefully that will continue into the new season but more importantly in the upcoming Munster Club Final against Dr Croke’s.”
